Straight answers about how patient data is handled

We'd rather tell you exactly where we are than oversell it. Here's our current approach, and what's still in progress.

Therapist assisting a patient with arm stretching therapy in a calm treatment room
WJ MEDA is a pre-launch product currently onboarding a small number of founding clinics. We are building the platform on HIPAA-aligned technical safeguards from day one, and we will sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every clinic before any real patient data is entered into the system. If you don't see a claim below, it's because it isn't true yet — ask us anything in the meantime.
Our approach

What's built in today

Encryption in transit and at rest

Data moving between your browser and our servers is encrypted over HTTPS, and stored data is encrypted at rest.

Role-based access

Front desk staff and therapists see only what their role needs — patient scheduling and authorization data, not billing systems or unrelated clinic accounts.

No use of clinic data to train models

Patient and clinic data entered into MEDA is used to run your workflows — nothing more, nothing shared elsewhere.

Works alongside your EMR, not inside it

MEDA doesn't require access to your clinical documentation or billing system. It handles scheduling, reminders, and authorization tracking as a separate layer.

In progress

What we're actively building toward

Full HIPAA infrastructure buildout

We're migrating our infrastructure to a HIPAA-eligible cloud environment and working through the technical, administrative, and physical safeguards required under the HIPAA Security Rule.

Signed BAAs with every clinic

Before any clinic enters real patient data, we'll have a signed Business Associate Agreement in place defining exactly how that data is handled and protected.

Independent security review

As we move out of early access, we plan to have our infrastructure and practices reviewed by outside counsel and a third-party security assessment.

Formal data retention & deletion policy

We're finalizing clear, written policies for how long data is kept and how a clinic can request full deletion if they leave.

Questions about your data?

Ask us directly before you start a trial

If security or compliance is the deciding factor for your clinic, we'd genuinely rather walk you through it on a call than have you guess from a page.
